Solar Power System at Makaraka School by Tū Mai Rā Energy

Tū Mai Rā Energy have installed a solar power system at Makaraka School in Gisborne that has been optimised to closely match the energy needs of the school therefore maximising Return-On-Investment.
Additionally, consideration has been included into how this system can enable Makaraka school to become an educational hub for students to learn the science involved in sustainable energy and our responsibility to protect the environment. Educational and monitoring dashboards will encourage Makaraka students to reduce unnecessary waste through real time data on energy generation and consumption. This solar system will enable Makaraka school to be an educational leader in renewable energy within the Tairawhiti region.
